All over the world, parents and caregivers of individuals with Down syndrome are seeking ways to help their loved ones achieve optimal health. More and more research is emerging to support biomedical interventions that can help these individuals reach this goal.

There has never been a better time in history for a child with Down syndrome to be born.

Agenda

  • Basic genetics and biochemistry of DS

  • What is oxidative stress and how does it impact people with DS?

  • What is the Methyl Cycle, how is it altered in DS and what can we do about it?

  • Thyroid hormone metabolism in people with DS

  • Research-supported supplements that can positively impact biochemical differences
